They enjoy holding up their boards so I can quickly check their answers and provide immediate feedback. I know our students truly appreciate your donation. \r\nMiddle school years can be full of emotions, and when they are overwhelming, it's hard to know what to do with them. One of the first things students use when they come to my room is the cuddle ball you provided. Not only does this provide tactile comfort, but it also allows for a safety zone while they process what is going on in their lives. \r\nAnother favorite students ask for often is the sensory stickers. These are great fidgets that are quiet, provide texture, as well as a visual distraction as they work to bring their minds back into the classroom. \r\nI and my students greatly appreciate your help as we work through the emotional roller coaster years of Middle School.","fullyFundedDate":1778113994937,"projectUrl":"project/calm-those-middle-school-nerves/10217336/","projectTitle":"Calm Those Middle School Nerves!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Repa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9257894"},{"teacherId":9241711,"projectId":9912550,"letterContent":"We have truly been using all the items in the Donors package. The pink squishy ball has affectionately been named \"Jeff\"! \"He\" is a big hit. The students love playing with 'him.' I have shared two of them with general education classrooms. \r\n\r\nThe tubes of putty are also a great sensory experience and reward for the students. Every time a student beats their reading fluency score, the first choice for a reward is a piece of putty. They are enjoying mixing colors. The variety of putty is also a topic for experiments; students have made bouncy balls. It is also the first choice for a brain break, even though we have a trampoline in the room. \r\n\r\nThe calculator was invaluable to my student whose dyslexia really impacts her number recall. It really helped her keep up with the pace of the class. Sadly, she has lost it. I'm trying to hold her accountable. She will not be getting any more devices. \r\n\r\nAll the books are being greatly enjoyed. The riddles were too hard for my students so I shared them with the GT coordinators.
