The computer has been used as a translation and word building station which has greatly helped the students vocabulary increase. The extra monitor has been a lifesaver as students work on online classes they need to graduate. It has helped them get work done faster and more comfortably. The cushions have been a great addition to our reading push. It has created comfortable areas for students to enjoy as they read and they have loved it. The snacks got us through all of semester 1 and the students were so happy. They were not worried about food as I had it for them, so they were able to concentrate on their work. That made a world of a difference. The sand timers have been very helpful as well. They are helping students monitor their work and break times and well as reminders to get back to class. They will take them with them to walk the hallway and stretch their legs if they need it, and the timers help them use their time wisely. The play-doh has helped all of my students concentrate on their reading, class work, or state tests. Those have be en great! The visual timer is awesome for the same reason, having visual reminders for time remaining for tasks helps my students make the best use of their time. The math posters are also incredibly helpful because as we learn about new topics, I can go and point to the poster for their reference moving forward in the class. The number line has been so helpful as I am teaching about rational numbers in one class and the students love being able to do activities that get them moving around and using the number line as well as just reference it when we do adding or subtracting.
