Your gift has immediately transformed our classroom, offering a dedicated and comfortable space for every child to practice literacy. Most importantly, these new portable writing desks provide each student with an ergonomically sound writing area. This is a fundamental change, as it helps us ensure proper writing placement and posture from the very start, setting our students up for healthier, more effective learning as they develop these critical fine motor skills.\r\n\r\nIt has been truly inspiring to observe the children engaging with their new tools. Our students are already enjoying the writing desks tremendously as they learn how to form letters, draw, and express themselves on paper. Having a stable, comfortable surface, paired with fresh paper and quality pencils, has made the act of learning to write a more focused and exciting experience. We cannot overstate the impact of your generosity; these resources are an investment in their foundational education and future success. On behalf of the students, staff, and the entire school community, we are all extremely grateful for your steadfast support.","fullyFundedDate":1754273955230,"projectUrl":"project/strong-independent-writers/9487268/","projectTitle":"Strong Independent Writers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rivera","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2969215_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1567740383457","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2969215"},{"teacherId":9236746,"projectId":8576887,"letterContent":"I would like to thank you for the support you provided me for our fourth grade class. Our Donor's Choice project focused on two areas: reading and understanding our relationship to the sun and moon. As you can see in the photos, our students were thrilled to see the gifts we were given.\r\n Our students are seen looking over the series of biographical books we were given. The series provides a great breath of different stories from Marco Polo to President Obama, and I'm sure our students will learn some history as the improve their reading skills.\r\n In the other photo, our students can see a visual model of our Earth, the moon and the sun. It does a great job of helping them see how the earth rotates to generate day and night, how the moon revolves around Earth to generate a month, and how Earth revolves around the sun to represent a year. \r\n The materials provided via this grant will help Franklin students for years to come.
