Since microgreens are baby plants, we are only able to grow the seeds one time. However, the experiences that the seeds have provided are worth it.\r\n\r\nEach time we planted the seeds, students take on leadership roles and the responsibility for starting the planting, maintaining the seeds, growing plants and harvesting them. The independence, synergy and responsibility that the microgreen garden provides our students is assisting these leaders to practice not only functioning skills, but life skills. It is especially important to know where our food comes from (not just the store shelves) and how to grow it. \r\n\r\nIt is thrilling to see that students truly remember the process and can easily teach a person who does not know how to grow microgreens, how to grow them and grow them well. Two students recently stated, \"we love being the garden leaders\" and really took charge in ensuring our plants were growing properly. \r\n\r\nWe have enjoyed our \"fruits of labor\" with your support and we thank you for the opportunity.","fullyFundedDate":1763601075859,"projectUrl":"project/microgreen-garden-sustainability/9880659/","projectTitle":"Microgreen Garden Sustainability","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. C","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9225834"},{"teacherId":9225834,"projectId":9486514,"letterContent":"Thank you for providing the healthy snack options for our class.
