Your donation purchased: a classroom rug, lap desks for students to complete work on the floor, a standing desk for students who need a break for sitting, books that showcase and teach diversity, history and equality, a carpet sweeper, pencils, both mechanical and wooden, and chair bands to help keep their feet busy while at their desk. \r\n\r\nI was so excited to lay the rug out on the floor - you'll see in the pictures how it has changed the look and feel of my classroom. I have gotten many compliments on it (staff, students and parents) and love that it's such a focal piece of my room. There are MANY books that were added to my classroom library and I am proud to be a teacher that provides many opportunities for my students to read about Native American history, Colorado history, diversity within sports and black history. The authors of these books can teach about it better than I ever could, so I am grateful to expose my kids to them. Your donations purchased SO many books for my kids, 22 in total. Thank you for resupplying essential items, such as pencils, chair bands and new lap desks. And my students are especially grateful for the carpet sweeper - a job that they honestly look forward to every day. My room has never been cleaner! \r\n\r\nThank you for making a difference in my classroom, as well as my current students and the students to come.
