Students have used the machine at school dances and socials, helping create welcoming events that strengthen school spirit and encourage social connections among peers. The students are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the machine after each use, making it a learning tool in accountability as well. \r\n\r\nIn addition, students hosted a movie night at the school and sold popcorn as a Student Council led fundraiser. The proceeds raised are being reinvested into future events and activities, giving students firsthand experience with budgeting, planning, teamwork, and responsibility. Students were thrilled to see their artwork come to life inside the black light room, transforming our space into a bright and colorful celebration of creativity. Kindergarten students created neon swatch watches, explored shapes through 80s-inspired art, and designed glowing smiley face projects. First graders designed fun 80s glasses and other vibrant creations inspired by the decade's bold colors and patterns.\r\n\r\nStudents were able to experiment with a wide variety of art tools and materials, including pastels, markers, paints, and more. The excitement and pride they felt while seeing their glowing artwork on display were unforgettable. We have enjoyed using our new art supplies more than we can possibly express, and your gift has already created so many joyful, meaningful moments for our students.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite projects so far has been with our kindergarteners, who used the Kwik Stix to create beautiful rainbow-colored nameplates. Each child carefully added their own special kindergarten \"signature,\" turning these into treasured keepsakes that families will take home at kindergarten graduation. The pride on their faces as they worked and admired their finished pieces was truly priceless. They turned out absolutely adorable.\r\n\r\nWe have also been painting winter reindeer using the tempera paint pucks, and the colors are incredibly vivid and bright. The liquid watercolors have been especially wonderful for kindergarten because they last longer and allow students to explore color more freely without worrying about running out. The quality of these materials has made a noticeable difference in both the process and the final artwork.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new supplies, they were so excited. They were thrilled not only to have new materials, but to dive right in and start creating. The new brushes, paint sticks, and paint palettes quickly became favorites, bringing bold, vibrant color and fresh energy into our classroom art time.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to continue building on this creative momentum. Next semester, students will explore texture brushes as they create winter backgrounds for their winter town projects.
