My students have been using the floor seat and weighted animal to calm their bodies and reset during the school day. The protein snacks have been helping my students refuel and focus, while the super sour candy has been a fun and entertaining sensory reset during tough moments. One of my students mentioned how \"disgusting\" the sour candy was and then came to realize how the sour taste distracted her mind from being anxious about something. \r\n\r\nI think my students liked the food/candy more than anything, especially when mornings are tough, getting up early is difficult and packing healthy snacks is hard for some of them. One student even shared to me that he was so thankful to have a safe place to go and get high protein snacks from because it's hard for his parents to shop during the week when they have to work. \r\n\r\nI love that I am able to disinfect my room after each kid comes in.
