I now have a comfortable sitting space on the floor for my first graders, with clear, assigned seating. My students love our rug and it goes with the rest of our classroom decor perfectly. When they first saw our rug, they were so excited to have comfy place to sit on our floor during whole group instruction. \r\n\r\nThe spots on the rug give them a personal space \"bubble\" to call their own and it helps me as a teacher make sure they stay in their assigned spot. I put a lot of time and money into making sure I have a safe, welcoming environment for my students and this rug brought my entire room together. I get so many compliments from students, families and co workers. \r\n\r\nAll of the amazing paper and stickers that were also donated have helped me immensely with all of the first grade activities and projects that we do. Cardstock is more durable than regular paper and gives a better quality to all of their work. I use my stickers to grade all of their work that I send home. They love seeing the stickers on their graded work. \r\n\r\nI am very grateful for all of the amazing donations I got to make my first graders more successful! Each student has their own designated spot that allows for a comfortable learning environment. We have watched movies together, celebrated birthdays and holidays and learned so many new things on this new rug. The crayon sharpeners have helped us lesson our crayon waste. It has saved us so many crayons! The activities donated give us a chance to say good morning to our friends, get our wiggles out, and talk and problem solve in our classroom community. \r\n\r\nWe also had sensory toys and figit toys donated for our \"Calm Down Corner.\" These items have helped us to better regulate our big feelings and help us to know when it is time to return to the regular goings on of the classroom.
