Thanks to your kindness, my middle school ELL students now have engaging and meaningful resources to support their language learning journey. \r\n\r\nMindful instruction means allowing students to drive content that is relevant to their needs and interests. It means being present and available in each classroom moment and toggling between closely guided instruction and application and independent, student led progress and outcomes. It includes project based learning with hands-on engagement. My classroom is loud and full of expression and movement. We learn through games, bingo is one of our favorites. The stickers, Mexican candy, and fidget toys have already brought so much joy to our classroom as motivational prizes, encouraging students to take risks and stay engaged in their learning. The sentence-building games are fostering creativity and collaboration as my students construct meaningful sentences and strengthen their communication skills. We learn with books that we take home to read, silent reading in class, choral reading, partner reading, small group text analysis, and paragraph writing based on texts we read. The book bundle has been an invaluable addition to our reading practice, helping students build confidence and fluency in English. \r\n\r\nYour generosity extends far beyond these materials—it creates an environment where students feel seen, supported, and excited to learn.
