Because of your generosity, my third grade students now have access to hands-on math manipulatives, learning tools, and supplies that have truly transformed how we learn each day.\r\n\r\nWe are already using these resources during our math lessons, especially when solving word problems and practicing new concepts. One of my favorite moments was watching students work together with the manipulatives to explain their thinking—students who were previously hesitant suddenly felt confident sharing their ideas. When the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate. Their faces lit up, and they couldn't wait to explore and start learning with them.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using these tools to deepen their understanding of math concepts, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build confidence as independent learners. Your support has given them opportunities to learn in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and accessible.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students this incredible gift and for investing in their success.","fullyFundedDate":1757877234217,"projectUrl":"project/essential-supplies-and-math-magic-for-th/9570288/","projectTitle":"Essential Supplies and Math Magic for Third Graders","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Weil","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9634696_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723261101623","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9634696"},{"teacherId":10275056,"projectId":9749145,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! The new indoor-recess toys—UNO, Mancala, Magna-Tiles, Jenga, and the fun prize-box items—have already made such a difference in our day-to-day routine. My second graders dove right in the very first time we brought the materials out. UNO games started at one table, students built tall Magna-Tile towers at another, and a small group worked together to figure out the rules of Mancala. Indoor recess instantly became calmer, happier, and much more engaging.\r\n\r\nTheir reactions were absolutely joyful. Several students gasped when they saw the new games, and a few even cheered. One student held up a tiny animal eraser from the prize box and said, \"This is the cutest thing ever!\" The new materials gave them something fresh to look forward to, and it has helped create a positive start to our afternoons.\r\n\r\nRight now, our class is working on narrative writing about becoming paleontologists discovering a fossil. The energy from indoor recess carries right into our writing block—they come in settled, smiling, and ready to focus. We're also getting excited for our upcoming field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, where they'll connect what they've been imagining in their stories to real exhibits. Your generosity has helped bring more joy and balance to our classroom, and we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1758843386648,"projectUrl":"project/kids-can-soar-during-recess/9749145/","projectTitle":"Kids can Soar During Recess","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Schulte","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10275056"},{"teacherId":8841224,"projectId":9303215,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution of owl pellets for our fourth-grade class. Your donation allowed our students to engage in a hands-on science investigation that they will remember for years to come. Dissecting owl pellets gave them a unique opportunity to become real-life scientists—carefully observing, hypothesizing, and drawing conclusions based on evidence they uncovered themselves.\r\n\r\nAs the students explored the tiny bones hidden inside each pellet, they were filled with excitement and curiosity. They eagerly identified skulls, jawbones, and other skeletal pieces, comparing their findings to charts and learning about predator-prey relationships and food chains in a way that a textbook alone could never provide. It sparked thoughtful discussions, critical thinking, and genuine wonder about the natural world.\r\n\r\nThis experience has deepened their understanding of ecosystems, animal adaptations, and scientific inquiry, aligning perfectly with our Colorado science standards. But more importantly, it sparked joy, curiosity, and confidence in their ability to think like scientists. Thanks to your support, we were able to purchase a set of scooters that have already become a favorite among our students. The moment they saw the large check and realized it meant brand new scooters for their PE class, their eyes lit up with excitement and joy. These scooters have opened the door to a variety of new games that not only engage students physically but also encourage teamwork and creativity. One of the most popular games has been \"Dinosaur Tag\", where students on scooters play a special role by rescuing others who have been tagged, bringing an exciting twist to a fun activity. It's been amazing to watch them work together, laugh, and stay active while building lower body strength and improving coordination.\r\n\r\nEven outside of designated games, students are always looking for opportunities to use the scooters. Their enthusiasm is constant, and it's clear that these scooters have added a fresh level of energy to our PE classes. What's even more heartening is the pride students take in caring for the equipment—they're treating the scooters with great respect and responsibility, understanding that this gift is something to be valued. Looking ahead, we're excited to expand our activities to include scooter hockey and scooter soccer, helping students learn the fundamentals of sports in a fun and engaging way. Your generosity has really enhanced our program, and we can't thank you enough for giving our students these new opportunities to grow and thrive through movement.","fullyFundedDate":1732119151616,"projectUrl":"project/scooter-success/8603774/","projectTitle":"Scooter Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. G","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9637800"},{"teacherId":9666635,"projectId":8890577,"letterContent":"On behalf of Shawsheen Elementary School, I extend our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of art supplies.
