Teaching second grade at a diverse Title 1 school in a low-income area comes with many challenges, but also so much joy—and your donation made a tangible difference in the lives of my students. When the materials first arrived, the excitement in the room was electric. Their eyes lit up with curiosity and joy, and several students even asked, \"Is this really for us?\" Watching their faces as they unpacked the resources was truly a moment I'll never forget.\r\n\r\nWe've already started using the materials during our literacy and project-based learning blocks. One moment that stood out was during a group reading activity—students were able to use the new flexible seating and hands-on tools to stay focused and engaged in a way I hadn't seen before. It's helped some of my more reluctant learners find their footing and feel more confident participating. Your support has made our classroom a more welcoming, equitable, and exciting place to learn.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're diving into a unit on communities and storytelling, and the tools you helped fund will continue to support our exploration. These projects not only build academic skills but also nurture self-expression and community—things that are so important in our school. Thank you again for believing in us and helping make these moments possible.","fullyFundedDate":1727462700144,"projectUrl":"project/fund-ms-cordons-class/8573668/","projectTitle":"Fund Ms. Cordons Class!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cordon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9303926_orig.png?crop=723,723,x196,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757551937448","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9303926"},{"teacherId":6105395,"projectId":8575727,"letterContent":"My 2nd grade class has been so appreciative of all the items you have provided for us. So, with the help of you we were able to get some items that are fun, exciting and special. \r\n\r\nThe birthday chair cover has been a huge hit, the children feel so honored when they have it on their special day. The number line has been amazing, we do an entire unit on number lines, so it has been great to have this colorful one to utilize. The crayon sharpener has been really fun, no more dull crayons! The bulletin board boarders have added some life and brightness to our room. The headphones have been a huge help as they are an items that often breaks in the classroom. \r\n\r\nWe are very thankful this project was funded.
