They touched everything, asked questions, and a few even said, \"We really get to use this?\" It was one of those moments where you could feel the room shift—excitement, possibility, and a sense of being seen.\r\n\r\nWe've already used the supplies for our reading and writing strategies work. During an annotation lesson, a student grabbed sticky notes and whispered, \"This actually makes it easier to understand.\" That moment alone showed me how much access matters. These tools didn't just support learning—they gave students confidence and ownership.\r\n\r\nNext, we're moving into a multi-step writing project where students will track themes, build claims, and revise drafts. Because of these materials, they're starting from a place of readiness instead of limitation. It feels like we're building something new together—and that's a gift.","fullyFundedDate":1727462621889,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-connections/8576463/","projectTitle":"Classroom Connections","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. B","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9299876"},{"teacherId":9297997,"projectId":9184792,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your help in my classroom! Budgets are tighter each year and it's tougher for me to use my own money for supplies.\r\n\r\nThe classroom has really come alive with the plastic shapes. My students have a better understanding of the attributes of shapes now that they can tangibly touch and move them. \r\n\r\nOnce we were able to establish shape definition, then we could move on to transformations. Students made incredible quilt designs based on the shape they knew. Then they made the quilt pieces out of the foam poster board and used all their new supplies for the final project.
