We have put the snacks to use right away! When the students saw me opening up the boxes, their faces were lighting up with excitement. They were all screaming \"NEW SNACKS!\" And they were especially excited to see more fruit snacks. \r\n\r\nThe snacks will last us a few months and I know that snacks are so important in our classroom. Students deserve a chance to learn and hunger is one of main reasons why students can't focus. \r\n\r\nThe play food has been a great addition to our play time. The students were all super excited to see new play food our kitchen. The kitchen is such a popular play center in our classroom. I love seeing and hearing all the new conversations around the new food. I am so thankful that I get to start the school year off with new supplies. \r\n\r\nNew headphones will be used for when students are testing and I know they will be thankful for new headphones since I didn't even have a class set last year. \r\n\r\nDry erase markers will be used throughout this year. We'll start the school year learning writing strokes before students will form letters and eventually be able to write sentences by the end of the school year. \r\n\r\nThe plastic envelopes has helped me organize my classroom and specifically, I have been able to put my decodables together in a more orderly fashion to make it easier to grab when I have my small reading groups. \r\n\r\nThe pencils will be used throughout the year to help students learn pencil grips. The golf pencils are appropriate for their fine motor practice. \r\n\r\nI appreciate your support of my classroom. We have used the Lakeshore Dough for many items. We use it to practice reading CVC words, making shapes and even using it as a calm down tool. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw me opening the items, their eyes would light up seeing all the new items that we got for our classroom this year. They loved seeing the Lakeshore Dough, we needed some new dough as the one we were using previously was drying up on us. Thank you for giving us much needed tools to help with students fine motor skills. \r\n\r\nWe have used the beads to make necklaces as gifts for students families. And they love stringing the beads together. It has been great find motor practice for many students. It has helped with writing. Fine motor plays such a vital role in helping students develop their pencil grips. \r\n\r\nWith your donation, my students were able to practice a much needed skill to help them be successful in school and life. Having clothes on hand is crucial in my classroom so we can ensure our kids are comfortable and dry.
