From reliable staplers and pencils to markers and laminating supplies, these resources help lessons run smoothly and allow students to stay focused on learning rather than interruptions or missing tools.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest impacts has been how the sheet protectors and laminating pouches have improved organization and efficiency. I've been able to use the sheet protectors to organize my instructional resources so I can quickly find exactly what I need during lessons and small-group work. I also laminated a Battleship-style coordinate grid game for every student to take home. Students use dry erase markers to play and practice coordinate grids in a fun, hands-on way, reinforcing math skills beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nAs we continue working on math concepts, writing tasks, and collaborative projects, these materials will support students in practicing skills repeatedly, staying organized, and engaging more deeply with their work. It may seem like a small thing, but having pencil sharpeners that actually work has made a surprisingly big difference in our day-to-day learning. Students are able to quickly sharpen their pencils and get right back to work without frustration, broken points, or constant interruptions during lessons.\r\n\r\nWhen the sharpeners arrived, my students were genuinely excited — and very relieved. There were immediate comments like, \"This one actually sharpens!\" and \"Mine didn't break this time!\" Something as simple as reliable supplies helps students stay focused, independent, and ready to learn instead of distracted by avoidable problems.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward into more writing-heavy assignments, math problem-solving, and independent work, these sharpeners will continue to support smoother transitions and stronger focus. Thank you for helping remove a small but important barrier to learning. They have truly been one of the most impactful resources we've added this year, and I see the difference every single day.\r\n\r\nMy students use the whiteboards daily in both reading and math as they work in small groups to apply new learning. Whether they're solving multi-step math problems or responding to a text, the boards give them a low-pressure way to think out loud, revise their ideas, and explain their reasoning to peers. Students are more willing to take risks, talk through their thinking, and support one another — skills that are essential but often hard to build without the right tools.\r\n\r\nWhen the whiteboards first arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students couldn't wait to use them, and that excitement hasn't faded. One of the most meaningful moments came during a classroom observation: my principal was genuinely astounded by how effectively students were using the boards to collaborate, explain their thinking, and stay actively engaged in learning. It was a proud moment for all of us.\r\n\r\nThe academic growth we've seen speaks directly to your generosity. In math, 18 out of 20 students met or exceeded their growth goals on the first day of testing. Winter STAR testing showed an average of 58 points of growth in our classroom — well above the expected 50 points. Even more exciting, we went from just one student on grade level to six, and reduced the number of students needing intensive math support from fifteen down to five. These gains reflect not just hard work, but the power of students being able to actively engage with their learning every day.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue using the whiteboards as we deepen our work with problem-solving, explaining reasoning, and applying skills to more complex tasks. The boards are now a permanent part of how we learn — helping students build confidence, communicate clearly, and truly understand the \"why\" behind their thinking.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students a tool that has amplified their voices, strengthened their learning, and helped them believe in themselves. Your support has made a lasting difference in our classroom, and we are so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1760657696777,"projectUrl":"project/whiteboards-for-vertical-and-collaborati/9818356/","projectTitle":"Whiteboards for Vertical and Collaborative Thinking","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Badeau","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9296928_orig.jpg?crop=1622,1622,x937,y1199&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746895065065","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9296928"},{"teacherId":10337756,"projectId":9893056,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to our class novel study.
