The materials you provided have truly made a big difference!\r\nWe've been using the new journals, notebooks, books, and colorful pens ever since they arrived. One specific moment that stands out was when students created Identity Maps. The colorful pens helped students express themselves through words and images. The journals quickly became a safe place where they could explore who they are and what they want others to know about them. It was so inspiring to see them open up and express themselves!\r\n\r\nWhen we first got the materials, the students were beyond excited! They were thrilled to see the variety of journal sizes and all of the colorful pens. They took such pride in using the new materials and it really motivated them to do their best work.\r\nStudents are learning that writing can be a powerful tool to gaining a better understanding of ourselves. It helps us recognize our strengths, challenges, commonalities, and the ways in which we are unique. Students will continue to use the materials to study what it means to be neurodivergent, to deepen their self-awareness, and to share with others. The project will culminate with students creating a presentation introducing themselves to their next year's teachers. This has already helped students see the power of their own voices, and we're excited to see where it takes us.\r\n\r\nYour donation has given my students the tools to express themselves in ways they never thought possible. They are not only becoming better writers, but they are also gaining a deeper understanding of who they are.
