We want to fill the classroom with flexible seating and sensory items for all of the students. This will give them a choice of how they sit at Circle Time or at the tables. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, and increases blood flow as well as their core strength. Many flexible seating options stimulate students' sense of touch. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with ADHD, ADD, and ASD.
