We have been meeting weekly to read a book together and move through yoga poses that support the content of the books. Our storybooks have let us be wild animals, mountains, trees, and go on amazing adventures together! The students are getting the opportunity to move their bodies, listen to new books, and learn new deep breathing techniques (their favorite has been lion breaths!). Along the way, their vocabulary is expanding, their strategies to keep regulated are growing in number, and we're even learning how to roll up a yoga mat and put socks and shoes on more independently.
