These 15 copies also meant that each student had their own copy, and could bring the novel from school to home! My 6th grade students absolutely adored reading this book, reading the graphic novel, watching the movie, and then watching a couple episodes of the Disney+ series, to compare and contrast the plot and characters between these three different representations. Many of my students have pursued reading the rest of the \"Percy Jackson\" chapter book series in their own time, and are loving it!! \r\nWe have yet to read \"Stargirl\", by Jerry Spinelli - it is planned for the fourth quarter - but I had many students watch me put the book set on the shelf, and question when we would be reading them! They are very excited to dig into \"fresh\" books :) Thank you so much for funding this project! My class will enjoy these books for years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1727462671521,"projectUrl":"project/chapter-champions-novels-for-advanced-s/8577208/","projectTitle":"Chapter Champions: Novels for Advanced Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Phelps","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9224609"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_68827","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":575,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":44,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":22,"percentWhite":36,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"19.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":30.8,"schoolId":68827,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Aurora Quest K-8 School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Aurora Quest K-8 School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/aurora-public-school-district/aurora-quest-k8/68827"}
