I have already begun to see how using paper and pencil and focusing on more active writing in my class is benefitting from my current students and I know that it can only go up from here!\r\n\r\nMy students have been delighted to use the highlighters, poster boards and paper and pencils in an effort to use analog methods to review and learn material related to history. Handwriting forces the brain to mentally engage with the information, improving both literacy and reading comprehension, both of which are apart of our district's Unified Improvement Plan, a plan to ensure all students exit the K-12 education system ready for post-secondary education, and/or to be successful in the workforce, earning a living wage immediately upon graduation.\r\n\r\nThe support and funding from the Five Star Education Foundation means so much to myself as a teacher in Adams 12 as it shows how our community is strong and has the best interests of our students in mind and is willing to help support teachers in any capacity so that they, in turn, can do the same. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your donation.
