I am still working with students on keeping them neat, but we're definitely headed in the right direction! \r\n\r\nPencils are now easily accessible because of the pencil holder, which means fewer disruptions, smoother transitions, and more time devoted to learning. In short, instructional time has been maximized, and chaos minimized!\r\n\r\nOf course, no good classroom story is complete without a bit of drama. Our old pencil sharpener, affectionately known as Pablo 1, was recently hospitalized after a tragic incident involving an eraser and metal. We've since welcomed our newly donated Pablo 2, who is thriving and sharpens like a dream. Students named him in honor of the original, and spirits are high. Thanks to your donation, our students now have access to engaging, age-appropriate nonfiction content that sparks their curiosity and fosters a genuine love of reading. One of the most exciting outcomes we've seen is that students aren't just reading because they have to, they're reading because they want to.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped shift reading from a purely academic task to an enjoyable and enriching experience. Students eagerly look forward to each new issue, often diving into topics ranging from science and current events to history and environmental issues with enthusiasm. No more spilling.\r\n\r\nThe green pens were also a hit, maybe too much of a hit. I had to stop a few mini-Picassos from turning their notebooks into doodle galleries. They get excited when they need to get their new pencil boxes with crayons, markers and other materials in them. The Jumbo Crayons are a favorite of the younger students who have difficulties controlling a regular pencil. They are able to grip the thicker crayons, draw/write with them, and have the crayons leave marks showing the work that had been done. The name tags hold the students QR codes for use on their chrome books and double as name tags when a substitute is there. \r\nMy students are increasing their writing and drawing skills with the materials you helped to get for our room. They enjoy showing off their skills. They are taking ownership in their learning. We are able to create smaller work spaces with less distraction for our students. When our music teacher has come in we are able to block off the materials that aren't going to be used by curious little hands during that time. Our speech therapist is able to pull students into an area with limited distractions. We are able to draw students into our calendar area when needed and lower the incidences of students wandering the room. \r\nMy student really like these dividers. Some have pulled the dividers around themselves to take breaks from everything. The students discovered they can hang papers on the dividers using the plastic clips at the top. They also like the challenge of trying to look around the edges and seeing what is going on.\r\nIn the future during rainy day recess we will use the dividers as part of our indoor play. The students like to hit balloons over the dividers like a person playing volleyball. Yes, the dividers were meant to improve our work area, but, they can also be used for fun. \r\nDonors, I want to say thank you again because these dividers have helped a lot in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1752091633717,"projectUrl":"project/creating-better-learning-spaces/9187776/","projectTitle":"Creating Better Learning Spaces","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wheeler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9179146_orig.jpg?crop=2236,2236,x249,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753114880053","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9179146"},{"teacherId":6808348,"projectId":9313618,"letterContent":"Your gift has allowed analytical reflections among our students. In addition, they have allowed our students to access the content and engage in meaningful discussions.
