Students use the resources independently and respectfully, whether they need hygiene products, snacks, school supplies, or comfort items to help them reset and refocus. One moment that stood out was when a student quietly shared that having access to basic essentials helped them feel more comfortable staying at school and participating in class instead of worrying about what they didn't have. That reminder showed just how important these resources are for helping students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the care cabinet fully stocked, many were surprised and excited that these items were available to them without judgment or embarrassment. Several students commented that it made the classroom feel welcoming and caring. For some, simply knowing the resources were there created a sense of relief and belonging.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students are continuing to build independence, self-advocacy, and emotional regulation skills through our classroom community routines and Calm by Design lessons. The care cabinet supports this work by removing barriers that can distract from learning and helping students feel prepared to engage in projects, group activities, and daily instruction with confidence.
