We could not have explored the mediums donated without you! We have one student who would not have explored art materials had he not fallen in love with the Giant Washable Color Ink Pads. We use the Balance Beam almost every day at the end of the day. (Our students have added cushions and recently made a \"lake\" creation out of it). The Float & Find Number Bubbles have been a hit. A few students actively seek them out on a regular basis. Last, and certainly not least is the biggest hit of all: the Playful Penguins Ice Blocks. We added some little cups and tongue depressors and simply laid these on the table. From there, the students have created bridges, towers, slides and much more. We cannot thank you enough for these gifts.","fullyFundedDate":1764600081278,"projectUrl":"project/for-the-love-of-art-help-our-new-tk-cl/9751197/","projectTitle":"For the Love of Art: Help Our New TK Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Soltero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9893399"},{"teacherId":9893399,"projectId":9751399,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations! Our kids were so excited to open their \"presents\". They immediately asked if they could play with \"everything\". Many of our students have never been exposed to any art materials past Crayola markers and coloring sheets. Exploring KWIK STIX tempera paint has made them smile and grow in their creativity. Every morning, during SEL, our students use the Spark & Wow Wooden Magnets | Emotions]. We discuss what the face and the emotion mean to them. (Some students have enjoyed making stories up based on the face they would like to choose that morning and we make a game of it). We have one student in particular that is in LOVE with the Giant Washable Color Ink Pads. He wants to play with them everyday. We thank you for this not only becuase the are fun, but because this student is completely resistant to using any type of pencil or crayon or pen and does not like to get his hands \"dirty\" to do art. With these Ink Pads? He has the most fun and creates large pieces of work of just his handprints, or smears. He loves it. Now? He chooses to try crayons and oil pastels. He would not have explored art materials had he not been able to play with these Ink Pads. All of the materials have been enjoyed but one in particular has been a blast, enough so that we may need a second set. This is the Playful Penguins Ice Blocks. We have added tongue depressors to create \"bridges\" and hte students have become little engineers. They have so much fun. Thank you again!
