From the moment the materials arrived, students were eager to explore. The flexible seating options have transformed our classroom environment, giving students comfortable choices that help them focus and feel more in control of their learning. It has been wonderful to see students settle into spaces where they can do their best work.\r\n\r\nOur CVC magnetic blending boards have been a game changer during phonics instruction. Students are actively building and blending words, strengthening their reading skills through visual and tactile learning experiences. One special moment that stood out was watching a student who had been struggling with blending suddenly light up when they successfully built and read a word independently. The hands-on element truly makes a difference.\r\n\r\nThe doodle boards have also created incredible engagement during writing practice. Students are excited to practice forming letters, writing CVC words, and even building simple sentences. Because they can easily erase and try again, they are more willing to take risks and keep practicing. The spacers have been especially helpful as students work on sentence writing, giving them a clear visual reminder to leave appropriate spaces between words. We are already seeing improvement in their writing confidence and clarity.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll continue building stronger readers and writers by moving from CVC words to writing simple sentences and short stories using these tools.\r\n\r\nThank you for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1761934351003,"projectUrl":"project/tools-to-thrive-flexible-seats-letter/9445118/","projectTitle":"Tools to Thrive: Flexible Seats, Letter Fun, and Writing Magic","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gutierrez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7685570"},{"teacherId":9310423,"projectId":9693611,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project \"Healthy Air, and Sensory Fun.\" Your generosity has helped create a healthier, more supportive classroom environment for our students.\r\n\r\nThe air purifiers are used daily and have improved air quality in our classroom, helping students feel comfortable and ready to learn, especially those with medical needs or sensitivities.\r\n\r\nThe sensory light table is used during Fun Fridays and indoor recess as a structured sensory activity. Students were excited while unpacking and exploring it, especially the light features, water component, and the many activities it offers. The light table encourages joyful exploration, social interaction, and positive engagement, and serves as a motivating reward that supports positive behavior throughout the week.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using these resources to support regulation, engagement, and meaningful learning experiences. The whiteboards, markers, and erasers have become a daily part of our learning routine. My students use them every day during phonics and math lessons—practicing their letters, sounds, and number sentences in a way that keeps everyone involved and eager to participate. It's been wonderful to see even my quietest students gain confidence as they hold up their boards to share their work with pride.\r\n\r\nThe watercolor paints, brushes, oil pastels, and paper have been a beautiful addition to our art projects. We recently completed a fall leaves watercolor activity, where students blended colors to capture the beauty of autumn. They were so proud of their artwork, and the classroom came alive with laughter, focus, and creativity. It was clear how much they appreciated having high-quality art materials to express themselves.\r\n\r\nNext, we're looking forward to starting a winter-themed watercolor project. The students are already brainstorming ideas—snowflakes, pine trees, and cozy winter scenes! Your donation didn't just supply materials; it helped spark curiosity and joy in learning.
