The new yoga mats and blocks have become a cherished part of our weekly afternoon mindfulness routine. When we practice together, I can see students quickly settle into a different breath pattern and mindset. The gentle stretching on their mats allows a release that wouldn't take place in our school day otherwise. My favorite moments are when I hear my students say, \"My body feels so good,\" and \"I feel so peaceful.\" Moments like that remind me just how powerful these tools are.\r\n\r\nWhen the mats and blocks first arrived, the room erupted with excitement! Students couldn't wait to get their mat and try their first poses! Now, the mats also symbolize their own personal, quiet, self-regulation space. They help students reset during stressful moments and re-enter learning with more confidence and clarity.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using the mats during our mindfulness time, group reset periods, and individual reset times. Your support has opened the door to lifelong habits of emotional regulation and self-care. We are endlessly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1755034770268,"projectUrl":"project/stretch-breathe-grow-yoga-mats-for-3r/9552853/","projectTitle":"Stretch, Breathe, Grow: Yoga Mats for 3rd Grade Wellness","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Long","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-long"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4203","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":313,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":72,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"20.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.9,"schoolId":4203,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Coronado Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Coronado Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/west-contra-costa-unified-school-district/coronado-elementary-school/4203"}
