Big Kid Recess now gives them the chance to participate in sports and daily physical activity—completely free. Beyond the exercise, students are building friendships, teamwork, and social skills during lunch instead of being stuck on their phones. The new equipment has given them opportunities to play, connect, and feel like they belong.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the new equipment, their excitement was contagious. Several mentioned that it was their very first time getting to play with a brand-new ball. Our school has an electronic pass system yet wants students to have a pass identifier. This pass allows all students to know they have a safe space in our classroom.
