Because of your kindness, our classrooms now have a variety of resources that help students manage their emotions, stay focused, and feel calm during learning. These tools — from fidget items to sensory supports — are making a remarkable difference for students who benefit from having a healthy outlet for their energy and emotions. It's amazing to see how something so small can make such a big impact on engagement, confidence, and overall well-being.\r\n\r\nOur teachers, students, and I are deeply grateful for your support. We've already noticed a more peaceful and productive classroom atmosphere, where students can better focus on their learning and support one another with empathy and understanding. Your generosity shows our students that their mental health and emotional growth are valued just as much as their academic success. Every item you helped provide directly supports hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and creative ways for students to practice and express their growing English skills.\r\n\r\nOur teachers, students, and I are truly grateful for your kindness and belief in our learners. Before your donations, we were relying on used equipment from staff and families. Much of it was worn out and didn't last long, and we had no funding available through the school to purchase replacements. Thanks to you, our students now have access to brand-new sports equipment that has completely transformed lunchtime.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, joining a school sports team isn't an option due to financial barriers. Big Kid Recess now gives them the chance to participate in sports and daily physical activity—completely free. Beyond the exercise, students are building friendships, teamwork, and social skills during lunch instead of being stuck on their phones. The new equipment has given them opportunities to play, connect, and feel like they belong.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the new equipment, their excitement was contagious. Several mentioned that it was their very first time getting to play with a brand-new ball. That simple moment sparked so much joy and motivation—it made them want to get out there and play even more.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue to use this equipment to expand lunchtime activities and encourage even more students to join in. The next step is to organize friendly tournaments and structured games so students can practice leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Your contribution has planted the seed for something that will keep growing, and we cannot thank you enough for investing in our students' well-being and joy.","fullyFundedDate":1744575680583,"projectUrl":"project/big-kid-recess/9059647/","projectTitle":"Big Kid Recess","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Drummond","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9116251_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726837577406","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9116251"},{"teacherId":6604604,"projectId":9498224,"letterContent":"When the snacks and breakfast items arrived, my students were so excited and relieved.
