Because of your donation, we were able to provide meaningful social-emotional learning (SEL) resources to our elementary school community. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and many face significant challenges outside of school, including stress, instability, and limited access to resources. Your support has allowed us to create a safe, supportive environment where students can build the skills they need to be successful both academically and emotionally. With the materials you provided, we were able to strengthen our counseling program through weekly SEL lessons, targeted small groups, and individual student support. Students participated in engaging lessons focused on understanding and managing emotions, building positive relationships, and developing problem-solving and self-regulation skills. These resources helped bring learning to life through hands-on activities, visuals, and structured opportunities for students to practice strategies such as deep breathing, positive self-talk, and conflict resolution. Additionally, we were able to enhance calming spaces across our campus, giving students a place to reset and return to class ready to learn. Their faces lit up as they tried everything on and saw how official and important they looked. It was such a proud moment for them. They immediately understood that these materials were about keeping everyone safe and cared for.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the gear every day during student arrival and dismissal. The reflective vests and helmets help our student helpers stay visible and present as they assist with crossing areas and greeting younger students. Even on rainy mornings, the new gear allows us to continue our routines comfortably and confidently. The students take great pride in their roles and have shown an increased sense of responsibility and teamwork.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our arrival and dismissal times are safer, smoother, and more positive for everyone involved.
