In Transitional Kindergarten, our focus is helping students meet development milestones, including gross motor manipulation skills, perceptual-motor skills and movement concepts, and gross locomotor movement skills. Your funding of our Let's Play Ball Project provided my class with a variety of balls and cones to help them build these skills. Without your contribution, unfortunately, my students would not have had the variety of balls and cones you enabled us to purchase.\r\n\r\nMy students were beyond excited and thrilled when we received our orders. Their faces beamed with happiness and excitement, anticipating what was in the boxes. When we opened the boxes as a whole group activity, they cheered in joy. A lot of the students had been asking for balls to play with during our outside time. As soon as we unboxed and inflated the balls, our class was outside practicing our skills. Students practiced tossing, catching, throwing, kicking, and hitting balls. They made obstacle courses with the cones to practice running and weaving in and out of the cones, as well as riding their tricycles through an obstacle course around the cones. They were very imaginative and innovative. Their favorite free time activity with the equipment was to use the cones and balls to bowl. They came up with this idea all on their own. \r\n\r\nYour funding not only helped my young, developing students strengthen their physical abilities and their gross motor skills, but also their sportsmanship and social skills, as well as their creative thinking. I am truly appreciative of you creating this opportunity for my students. My current class has benefited and improved their skills with your contribution and my future year's students will as well. Your company has truly made a lasting impact.","fullyFundedDate":1769887519013,"projectUrl":"project/lets-play-ball/9923691/","projectTitle":"Let's Play Ball","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fugate","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10042986_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749075493411","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10042986"},{"teacherId":10042985,"projectId":9902100,"letterContent":"I just want to say thank you for all your support the last two years. My students were so excited to see the boxes arriving. They could not wait to see what was inside. When we finally started the farm unit, their eyes lit up with surprise and excitement for our learning materials. The students really loved the kinetic sand, magnetic number maze, the farm felt board, and the magna-tile farm set. \r\n\r\nYour contributions helped my students make fun and enriching connections to farming. They love using the materials to build their own farms, whether is be with the magna-tiles, kinetic sand, felt board, or the animal counters with blocks. They talked about and discussed what was on their farm and what the farmers and animals were doing. It really helped grow and enrich their language, vocabulary, and social skills. The students enjoyed looking at the poster set of real-life images of farm animals. Some of my students had never seen real-life pictures of some of these animals. The wonder and curiosity in their eyes was amazing to see. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, I was able to engage and teach my young learners about farms in a a fun, hands-on, and inspiring way.
