Your support brought smiles to every one of my students' faces, which meant so much during a very difficult time.\r\n Our school was in the process of closing, which led to mass layoffs and uncertainty for everyone involved. Many of our students come from underprivileged backgrounds, and we were told there were no funds available for even simple items like snacks. My coworkers and I did what we could, often paying out of pocket, but our resources were limited.\r\n When our project was funded, I was overjoyed. Thanks to you, my students had access to a variety of filling and delicious snacks that made a real difference. It wasn't just about food. It was about comfort, stability, and joy. One of their favorite moments was Movie Fridays, where they could relax and enjoy a classic treat like popcorn. Something so simple brought them so much happiness and gave them something to look forward to, even as everything around them was changing.\r\n Your generosity helped create bright memories in a time that could have easily been overshadowed by uncertainty. Because of you, their final days in the program are remembered not with sadness, but with laughter, full bellies, and a sense of being cared for.\r\n From the bottom of my heart, thank you.","fullyFundedDate":1746472522312,"projectUrl":"project/happy-tummies/9147094/","projectTitle":"Happy Tummies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Diaz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9928318"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_110703","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1856,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":21,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":53,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":56.0,"schoolId":110703,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Highlands Community Charter School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Highlands Community Charter School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/twin-rivers-unified-school-district/highlands-community-charter-school/110703"}
