The students have been loving this! I also added sand toys and plastic African animals. This summer, I moved from Kindergarten to Transitional Kindergarten, which is a new program at our school. Since it is a new program, I am especially thankful for the math manipulatives you donated. \r\nThe students were super excited to open the boxes with me and wanted to play with the manipulatives immediately. In TK we are learning to count and we are learning our numbers. The magnet numbers(with metal trays) allow the students to stick them to the tray and I am able to have conversations about numbers and colors as the students are playing. Everyone played an important role from measuring and cutting the ribbons to taping the ribbons onto specific part of the promotion leis. We had a good time bonding and helping each other.
