These new resources have given us tools and strategies to help students navigate their emotions and work through challenging situations. Whether they're learning how to calm down after a disagreement, express their feelings, or build positive relationships, these materials have been a perfect fit for our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe first time my students saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement! They thought everything was so cool and cute, and they couldn't wait to dive in and start using them. It's been amazing to see them engage with the activities and apply what they're learning to real-life situations, both inside and outside the classroom.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite moments so far was working on a \"Feelings Check-In\" board, where students could identify how they were feeling at the start of the day and practice coping strategies when needed. It's helped us create a safe and supportive classroom environment where students feel comfortable sharing and problem-solving together.\r\n\r\nNext up, we're working on a kindness and empathy project, where students will role-play different scenarios and practice what to say and do to support a friend who's having a tough day. These skills will help them build strong friendships and better manage conflicts as they arise.\r\n\r\nWe couldn't have done this without you — thank you for helping us build a classroom full of empathy, resilience, and understanding!","fullyFundedDate":1740187384772,"projectUrl":"project/building-emotional-resilience-through-st/9104343/","projectTitle":"Building Emotional Resilience Through Stories & Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kleinschmidt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9319141"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55847","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":536,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":45,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":46,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"24.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":72.2,"schoolId":55847,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Red Hawk Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Red Hawk Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/temecula-valley-unified-school-district/red-hawk-elementary-school/55847"}
