My new students are just 4 years old and are working on their pencil grip and fine motor skills. One specific project we worked on was a reading comprehension activity using our books and interactive tools. The students were so engaged, especially when they saw the colorful materials. Their faces lit up when they realized the new resources were for them to explore and use.\r\n\r\nWhen they first saw the materials, they were excited and curious. Some of them even started opening the kits right away, asking questions and pointing out stuff they liked. It was amazing to see their enthusiasm!\r\n\r\nNext, we're diving deeper into reading strategies and comprehension skills using the new resources. I plan to have the students work in small groups, applying what they've learned with the books and materials, and then share their insights with the class. The hope is that this will help build their confidence and skills in reading while also fostering collaboration among them. Students ask for a turn with the balance stools daily, they love the ability to wiggle around during lessons. The chairs with the fidget bands on them are also very popular in our classroom! Being able to fidget quietly has been a blessing for going through our lessons, they are able to stay focused and wiggle at the same time!\r\n The manipulatives from our project have been a great addition to our classroom. The students love when we are able to all get out our playdough and take some time to play. Little do they know they are working on their fine motor skills and building up those muscles!
