The excitement was immediate when they saw the new games and colorful giant parachutes. They could not wait to try everything out!\r\n\r\nWe have been using the Emotion Tower games to help students talk about feelings, practice healthy coping strategies, and build stronger communication skills. One of my favorite moments has been watching students begin with a simple game and, before they realize it, find themselves having meaningful conversations about emotions, friendships, stress, and how they can handle difficult situations.\r\n\r\nThe parachutes have added movement and fun to our SEL lessons. Students are learning that social-emotional learning does not always have to mean sitting and talking. Through cooperative parachute activities, they practice teamwork, communication, encouragement, and problem-solving. The ribbon wands have been a wonderful addition to mindfulness, breathing, and movement activities that help students slow down, reset, and regulate their emotions.\r\n\r\nWe will continue incorporating these materials into small-group counseling, HOPE Squad, and SEL activities throughout the school year. Students will continue practicing coping skills, emotional regulation, teamwork, empathy, and positive communication while learning how to use these skills in real-life situations.\r\n\r\nYou have given our students opportunities to move, play, connect, laugh, learn, and grow together.
