When students saw the fresh markers and materials laid out, they were genuinely excited. Their enthusiasm carried into their work, and the final products showed a level of effort and pride that was wonderful to see.\r\n\r\nStudents always need a charger on hand, especially as we hit the holiday rush. nd extra chargers ready for when ours inevitably wear out—means they can focus on problem-solving and creativity rather than worrying about missing tools.\r\n\r\nYour contribution didn't just provide materials; it created opportunities for students to collaborate, experiment, and share their learning in meaningful, hands-on ways. Many students have a hard time with headaches due to the bright fluorescent lights. By using the covers you helped fund, we were able to reduce the eye strain safely (they are fire resistant so our fire marshall even approved!). I have not had any students complain about headaches since we have returned to school. \r\n\r\nWe also were able to purchase some fire resistant curtains for the room. Aside from giving the room a home-like feel, these help reduce the glare from the windows on the boards. \r\n\r\nFinally, with the other supplies, I was able to provide students with their own class materials to keep in the room so they did not have to worry about finding supplies. \r\n\r\nWith our new environment, I have noticed a calming effect on students when they walk in the door. I am better able to serve my students in this calm state. I am excited to report that the whiteboards are being put to good use. Students use them to brainstorm ideas, solve conversion factors in chemistry and practice proper scientific observations. Previously we were using sheet protectors with white sheets of paper in them, the sheet proctors often ripped or did not erase very nicely making it difficult for students to write on them. The makers with the erasers on top were also a big hit! No more having to erase the boards with their hands or with a tissue! \r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and classroom!
