This camera allows the teachers to illustrate how to write sight words correctly, use sand trays, and create projects all while the students can watch it done live. In fact, some students have made growth on their sight word and phonics assessments. \r\nThe laminators have also been very useful when we play phonics games and have had a big influence on learning the spelling pattern of the week. In addition, the students have fun practicing these skills instead of just using a paper and pencil to practice. Once we started playing games and using the document camera the students had more hands on ways to practice and the treasure box items really helped cement these skills. Fun games and prizes really make learning in first grade more fun.
