I have used the fundraiser heat press A LOT to make AVID shirts. We are going on a field trip to Cal Poly SLO on April 17, and I've been making the shirts for all the students. The heat press works so well, and makes the process so much easier. I simply love it!\r\n\r\nThe shirt was designed by a student and voted on across classes. So, the student who designed it now gets to see their design in action. That student is excited about this honor, and the other students are excited about wearing a shirt designed by a peer. It's really cool!\r\n\r\nThank you again for everything. My students and I have been fortunate to have such generous donors. It fills my black heart with joy.","fullyFundedDate":1735661195168,"projectUrl":"project/avid-fundraising-2-support-avid-student/8743075/","projectTitle":"AVID Fundraising 2: Support AVID Students' Fundraising Efforts with Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sage","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4491809_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1497280729001","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/alicia-sage"},{"teacherId":4491809,"projectId":8742939,"letterContent":"Oh man, having this sublimation printer has been a journey. My students designed wonderful shirts. However, I did not realize you had to use light colored shirts, which made things... frustrating. However, the shirts I was able to do (mostly) turned out great. \r\n\r\nBesides the shirts, my students also designed stickers. I printed them with the sublimation printer, and they were incredibly excited. We used them for Christmas Grams we sold for fundraising, and students were excited to see their work come out as a real product. A student who has always been a talented graphic artist designed four stickers, and her smile showed her pride. I hope this experience inspires her to continue growing her skills.\r\n\r\nIn general, I am incredibly excited for us to learn how to use this printer. It has definitely been trial and error, but I know that more beautiful art will be created and fostered by these creative, intelligent students.","fullyFundedDate":1726879831571,"projectUrl":"project/avid-fundraising-support-avid-students/8742939/","projectTitle":"AVID Fundraising: Support AVID Students' Design and Ingenuity Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sage","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4491809_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1497280729001","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/alicia-sage"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40018","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":833,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":99,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"19.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":81.4,"schoolId":40018,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about El Camino Junior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"El Camino Junior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/santa-maria-bonita-school-dist/el-camino-junior-high-school/40018"}
