These engaging, high-interest articles have opened the door to meaningful reading experiences for my Level 3 ELPAC students, many of whom are developing confidence and fluency in English. The texts introduce essential reading skills—such as identifying main ideas, analyzing characters and themes, and drawing inferences—all while connecting to topics that feel relevant and exciting to middle schoolers.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading has become interactive and joyful. Students collaborate in small groups, annotate articles with colorful pens, and eagerly discuss the stories' real-world connections. The magazine's accessible language and powerful visuals help my English learners build vocabulary and comprehension while feeling successful as readers. One student who once hesitated to read aloud now volunteers to lead our discussions after reading a debate article in Scope. Another proudly told me she shared one of the stories with her family at dinner—a huge milestone for a young English learner.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly transformed our reading time into one of the most anticipated parts of our day. Because of you, my students are not only improving their reading skills but also developing a lifelong love for stories and learning. Upon arrival and set up in our classroom, the students were so excited and overjoyed to utilize the swing! Since it's arrival this has been a favorite choice for most of my students needing a sensory regulation break. They have enjoyed using the swing for relaxing on an earned break after completing work tasks, picking a safe space to clam down when feeling upset or overwhelmed, and as a place to get needed sensory input. Even after having the swing for a couple months, it continues to be a favorite choice. \r\n\r\nThis year, we plan to get another type of swing attachment for the support tower so that we can vary the swing choices for the students and provide different kinds of sensory experiences.
