Since receiving these items, I have been able to print color copies for my students, making it easier to identify the different sections on diagrams and graphs. The space you helped me put together has comfortable chairs and pillows, a soft rug, wall art with positive messages, flameless candles, and some games and reading material for them to use as needed. As soon as I started the setup, my students noticed and they gravitated towards all the neat things you helped provide for them. I'm happy to report that they've been great about respecting the space and using it appropriately. \r\n\r\nI plan to use the calming corner for students who are visibly anxious or down. In the past, I've had students ask to step outside or go see their counselor. This provides an additional option for students who may just need a moment to calm down or decompress. I also plan on having a catchup Friday once a month for students who need additional time to complete missing assignments. Students who are caught up with all their work will be able to play games or enjoy the calming corner to relax with a couple of friends. \r\n\r\nI am extremely excited about this project and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me put it together.
