The new titles Pete the Cat, Fly Guy, There Was an Old Lady Who..., and National Geographic have made reading time exciting and engaging for my students.\r\n\r\nMany of our donors love reading but may not know how much learning happens through these texts. These books help my students practice important skills like sounding out words, reading with fluency, understanding story events, using pictures for clues, and learning nonfiction facts.\r\nIn our classroom, reading is lively and interactive. Students read on their own, with partners, and in small groups where we practice blending sounds, retelling stories, and talking about what we learned.\r\n\r\nSome students have connected deeply with the new books. One hesitant reader now chooses Fly Guy every day and reads with more confidence. Another student loves animals and spends time exploring the National Geographic books, excited to share new facts with the class.\r\n\r\nThe timers and magnetic letters have also been very helpful. Students use the timers to practice their math facts, and the magnetic lab has help them build and read words during small-group time.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness. Your support has made a big difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1753070333660,"projectUrl":"project/weve-got-the-readers-now-we-need-the-b/9458607/","projectTitle":"We’ve Got the Readers, Now We Need the Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10076910_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752261877536","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10076910"},{"teacherId":8308201,"projectId":9007868,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project, Empowering Digital Learning: Headphones and Chargers for My School. Your generosity has made an immediate and meaningful impact on our students.\r\n\r\nIn our classrooms, iPads are used daily for personalized learning, language development, and intervention support. But without reliable headphones or chargers, many of our students—especially in the primary grades—weren't able to fully participate. Thanks to your donation, every student in our lower grade levels now has a working set of headphones and the ability to keep their devices charged. This has allowed them to stay engaged and focused during lessons without unnecessary interruptions or distractions. It's not just about convenience—it's about giving every child a fair chance to access the learning tools they need.\r\n\r\nWhat's been most exciting is seeing how proud our youngest learners feel to have their own working headphones—just like the \"big kids.\" It's these opportunities that remind us how important these tools really are.
