When the boxes began to arrive, the kids could hardly contain their excitement!! Each day there was something new for them to explore! \r\n\r\nFirst came the chair bands for busy feet, followed by lap desks to make sitting around the room a little more organized. The squeeze balls got big applause and each student was able to chose one to keep in their desk and uses it as needed to keep their hands busy so their brains can stay focused on what we are working on. Floor cushions provide comfortable spots to sit when the kids working on the carpet and at their chairs, and multiplication pop-its make learning their math facts fun and stimulating. \r\nI am adding a calm down corner with Luna, a kitten shaped light that helps the kids use breathing patterns and The Little Spot book sets to read while working through big emotions and plush \"feelings\" to hold and hug. \r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, I am able to provide my students with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive in our classroom. Fidgeting and flexible seating has provided a positive outlet for the energy my students have! The materials you've contributed to are already making a difference for my students in our learning environment. Your gift will have a lasting impact on my students, and I am truly grateful for your commitment to my students' personal growth and education. It's heartwarming to see not only my students but also other 2nd and 3rd graders coming together, laughing, and staying active.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was when a group of students organized their first dodgeball tournament during recess. They formed teams, took turns, and cheered each other on. It was a wonderful display of teamwork, sportsmanship, and creativity—all sparked by your generous donation!\r\n\r\nThese new resources have truly transformed recess into a time of connection, fun, and fitness.
