This school year we have seen a wonderful response to our services, with many new students coming through our doors for support.\r\n\r\nWhen I first started here five years ago, we had a small budget that allowed us to purchase snacks for students. During the winter months, we would serve hot chocolate or tea along with a snack when students came in feeling overwhelmed. Unfortunately, after the first year that budget was not renewed, and by the second year it became unsustainable for me to continue stocking the Wellness Center on my own.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous gift, our Wellness Center is once again able to offer these small but meaningful comforts. Students are so appreciative, and many have shared how much it helps to have something warm to drink or a snack when they need a moment to regroup. They also understand the value of this gift and are mindful not to take items unless they truly need them, so that others may benefit as well.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your support—it has made a real difference in restoring our full services and in helping students feel cared for during their time in the Wellness Center.","fullyFundedDate":1750256233267,"projectUrl":"project/give-a-hug-with-a-snack/9360171/","projectTitle":"Give a Hug With a Snack!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. El-Hendi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8106117"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29569","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":837,"numTeachers":55,"percentFrplEligible":11,"percentAsian":59,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":19,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":97.6,"schoolId":29569,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about San Marino High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"San Marino High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-marino-unified-school-district/san-marino-high-school/29569"}
