They were so excited to receive the boxes and even more excited when they saw what the contained. They couldn't wait to dive into the books!\r\n\r\nThrough these books, we been able to explore many genres of writing including poetry! They have been able to dive deeper into complex stories and themes and continue to grow their comprehension skills through them. They have naturally allowed for conversations about the story and it's been amazing to hear their academic language grow. \r\n\r\nWe have been able to explore and learn through our nonfiction texts as well. They love to see how nonfiction shares information beyond the main text and we have been able to touch upon topics that they wouldn't have otherwise.\r\n\r\nThey love revisiting the books after I have shared them on their own and I know they'll continue to read them months after we have read them together. It has also made my planning easier as I have been requesting the texts through the library.
