Not only that, I can have students write on the slides themselves! They love sharing their math ideas that way. They were a welcomed addition at our studies at the end of the school year. The room always buzzed with excitement when I bought the worm bins out. \r\nFrom the first time the students held the worms in their hands, science became their most anticipated time of the day. From thinking that worms have no mouths (they are so small that the we can't see the mouths) to finding out that worms prefer bananas over blueberries and leaves, they hypothesized, predicted, observed, and learned so much about these cute little creatures. \r\nOnce again, thank you! It started the students' path of seeing similarities and differences between different cultures and countries. It was especially an eye opener for students of Chinese heritage. The class loved the book cart and additional books so much that the daily schedule was scrapped for an impromptu book exploration time.
