My students have become more independent and confident as they engage with hands-on materials like building blocks, STEM kits, and creative tools. Rather than relying on step-by-step directions, they now approach activities with curiosity, experimenting and bringing their own ideas to life.\r\nMost importantly, I've seen my students grow as problem-solvers and critical thinkers. Each child approaches tasks in their own unique way, and these opportunities for creative exploration have allowed their individuality and confidence to shine. Your support has made it possible for students to experience joyful, meaningful learning that will stay with them far beyond kindergarten.","fullyFundedDate":1773348294587,"projectUrl":"project/create-explore-discover/9948393/","projectTitle":"Create, Explore, Discover!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Li","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9184738_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694940746962","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9184738"},{"teacherId":8680331,"projectId":9746158,"letterContent":"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your incredible generosity. Your donation has truly changed what our classroom feels like each day. During reading time, I now see my students settling into their flexible seating cushions, holding their books with comfort and calm. For some of my students, these cushions have become more than just a seat—they are a safe space. When a student feels overwhelmed or tired, they are able to rest, recharge, and return ready to learn. For students who may not always get enough rest at home, this simple comfort has meant so much.\r\n\r\nYour gift of headphones with microphones has also opened up new opportunities for my students. Many of them are now able to fully participate in learning in ways that were difficult before. As they use audiobooks and Amira Learning, I can see their confidence growing as they practice reading out loud and hear themselves succeed. During writing time, students who once struggled to put their thoughts on paper are now able to speak their ideas using speech-to-text, creating complete sentences and even paragraphs. Seeing their excitement when they realize, \"I can do this,\" is something truly special.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students are not just receiving tools—they are gaining confidence, comfort, and a stronger belief in themselves. You have helped create a classroom where all learners can access their education in a way that meets their needs. Thank you for supporting my students and for making such a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Your kindness will continue to impact them in ways that go far beyond our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1767485245165,"projectUrl":"project/tools-to-help-us-read-write-and-shine/9746158/","projectTitle":"Tools to Help Us Read, Write, and Shine!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. A","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8680331"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4457","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":214,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":91,"percentAsian":26,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":59,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":72.1,"schoolId":4457,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Spring Valley Science School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Spring Valley Science School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-francisco-unified-school-district/spring-valley-science-magnet-elementary-school/4457"}
