The rug has become an essential part of our classroom in a multitude of ways, which I hope to give you a snapshot of through this letter.\r\n\r\nFirst of all, the rug is central to all of our community building and team building activities. From our daily class meetings to our weekly appreciations circle, the rug is the home we return to again and again throughout the week. When we have Friday Choice Time, the rug is where many students congregate in order to build community through activities like Lego, building blocks, and more. In this screen-filled day and age, it is even more necessary to give kids a space to gather and build relationships face to face.\r\n\r\nSecond of all, the rug is a critical component of our learning environment. The rug helps create a boundary for our small group lessons, ELD instruction, read aloud time, and more. This boundary helps me to create an effective learning environment for all students.\r\n\r\nLastly, I want to thank you for the additional materials that I was able to purchase with the donation you gave. We use the markers on a daily basis! I am very grateful that I was able to purchase them through your support. \r\n\r\nThank you again for all of your support this school year.
