This year having fidget toys, a weighted stuffed animal, games, and needed arts materials has helped make my classroom a much more inviting place. Kids take turns holding the stuffed animal which they nicknamed \"The Baby\". They always know they have things they can play with if they need help focusing or want to take a break. Many of my students struggle with anxiety and having things that can support them and has been great. I also do weekly raffles for prizes and they have enjoyed getting little toys and stickers to make the day a bit more fun. \r\n\r\nWe also have used the rainbow parachute for multiple school events and it really sparks joy in our kids. A lot of them are shy or want to be cool but who can resist a giant rainbow parachute!? It's been really sweet to meet other kids in the school through such a fun activity. \r\n\r\nOur mural projects this year have been super successful with over twenty 4x4' panels on their way to being completed as well as a total of 4 walls inside of the school! The wall murals include themes like female empowerment, LGBTQ+ pride, surfing and making STEM fun. It has been an extremely busy year and our dynamic class is constantly using a myriad of materials. I'm really lucky to work with such great young people and being able to their experience in school means a lot to me. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your support!
