These simple supplies have quickly become an important part of our daily classroom routine.\r\nEvery day, students begin class by opening their notebooks, writing the date, and responding to a journal question. For many of my students, this is important practice with skills we often take for granted—holding and using a pencil, forming letters, leaving spaces between words, using capital letters, and writing a complete sentence. When they finish, I come around to check and stamp their work. Students then practice reading their sentence aloud to me and, often, to a classmate. In just a few minutes, they have practiced writing, reading, speaking, and listening!\r\nI also love that their notebooks are always ready to go. We don't have to wait for the Wi-Fi, find a charger, remember a password, or troubleshoot a device. Students simply open their notebooks and get to work.\r\nAt the end of each week, I collect the notebooks and use the stickers you provided to add a little personality and encouragement to them. T\r\n\r\nI received the resources last week and have used all of them within one week, except for the Air Racer Kit Pack. We are currently working on Ocean, Atmosphere, and Climate, and these resources are keeping the students engaged with a large class thermometer (as shown in the images) and our very own weather station. Weather consists of several elements, including temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, humidity, and precipitation (like rain or snow). Using the weather station makes it easy to discuss and observe these elements with students.
