Many of the supplies we have are used daily, and we would not be able to do as engaging activities without them. The students had a great time learning how to calculate percentages using the gum that was donated. We weighed, we chewed, we weighed again. We discovered that most gum is made up of somewhere near 50% sugar/sweetener. Our hot air balloons are looking very nice - a great way to learn about volume and surface area! We will also learn a bit about how the hot air helps them float.
