They were all able to pick their favorite color of shaker and loved shaking along to the video on the TV. They especially loved the video that had us \"hide\" the shaker. Some put them in their pockets and some held them behind their backs. They didn't want to stop!\r\n\r\nThe rhythm sticks were a lot of fun too. They followed the patterns of tapping them together, tapping them on the floor, and \"resting\" them on the floor. Their favorite was the video that had them tap, then whirl them around and turn them into a butterfly and a unicorn.\r\n\r\nIt was great to bring music class into our classroom. I am excited to use them with my new class next year. When two large boxes were delivered to our classroom, my students were instantly filled with excitement. They gathered around, made predictions about what could be inside. Once we opened them, the excitement only grew as they realized that all those pieces, once put together, would create the garden boxes we wanted..\r\n\r\nUnfortunately, with so few days left in the school year, we don't have enough time to plant and properly care for the garden before summer break. Planting now would mean the garden would go unattended for about two months, so we will be holding off until August.\r\n\r\nThe exciting part is that my new class will benefit right away. Within the first month of school, we will begin planting, caring for, and observing our vegetable and flower gardens from the very beginning.
