The tools you provided for our neurodivergent students have made a profound difference in how they learn, focus, and engage each day.\r\nWith the addition of flexible seating options, sensory supports, visual organizers, and hands-on learning tools, our students now have access to resources that meet their unique learning needs. For many of them, attending to tasks for extended periods used to feel overwhelming. Today, I see students independently selecting tools that help them regulate their emotions, sustain attention, and complete assignments with confidence.\r\nOne student who previously struggled to remain seated and focused can now use a wobble cushion and noise-reducing headphones to stay engaged during lessons. Another student who found written instructions difficult now thrives with visual schedules and graphic organizers. These supports have not only improved task completion but also strengthened students' self-esteem and sense of independence.\r\nMost importantly, your kindness has helped create a classroom environment where neurodivergent learners feel understood, supported, and empowered. Instead of feeling frustrated or different, they feel capable. They are taking academic risks, participating more actively, and showing pride in their accomplishments.\r\nYour generosity has given our students more than tools — you have given them access, confidence, and opportunity. Thank you for believing in them and for helping us build a classroom where every learner can succeed.\r\nWith sincere gratitude,\r\nMrs. Spinney","fullyFundedDate":1771689895113,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-neurodivergent-students/9897734/","projectTitle":"Tools for Neurodivergent students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Spinney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1486755_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1700624761021","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1486755"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_35243","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":372,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":89,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":76,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"20.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":35243,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kendall Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Kendall Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-bernardino-city-unified-school-district/kendall-elementary-school/35243"}
