With wrapping paper, bags, and tissue, they'll be able to carefully wrap the gifts they select from our holiday store, building skills like empathy, generosity, and confidence.\r\n\r\nWhen I told my students about the holiday store, they became very excited. Many were already planning who they wanted to surprise with a gift. They are working extra hard in following our school expectations to earn more points. Colorful posters, anchor charts, and student-created drawings now brighten the room and serve as constant visual reminders of key concepts. Notes and handouts in color stand out more, which helps students focus on important details and retain information longer.\r\n\r\nWhen teaching new material, the use of color makes a significant difference across subjects:\r\n\r\nMath: Highlighting steps in problem-solving with different colors makes it easier for students to follow processes like long division or algebraic equations. Graphs, charts, and geometry figures are also much clearer in color.\r\n\r\nELA: Color-coded notes for grammar, reading strategies, and writing prompts help students distinguish between parts of speech, literary devices, or writing structures.\r\n\r\nScience: Diagrams of life cycles, human anatomy, or experiments are far more effective in color, allowing students to see details and relationships they would miss in black and white.\r\n\r\nSocial Studies: Maps, timelines, and historical images become more engaging and realistic when printed in color, helping students better connect with the material.\r\n\r\nOverall, the color printer has not only made the classroom more visually appealing, but it has also improved student understanding, engagement, and excitement for learning. It brings lessons to life and makes abstract or complex ideas more concrete and accessible.\r\n\r\nI will be forever gratefull with all of you!!","fullyFundedDate":1723559636962,"projectUrl":"project/lets-bring-our-lessons-to-life-with-a-c/8527711/","projectTitle":"Let's Bring Our Lessons to Life With a Color Printer!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lara","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9264028"},{"teacherId":3155188,"projectId":9110190,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students and myself, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for your generous donation through DonorsChoose. Students used the tagboard to create a helmet like structure that fit the dimensions of their head. Then decou page was used to papier-mache over the structure to firm it up. Finally they were instructed how to paint the mask so that it had symmetry or the same lines, shapes, and colors on both sides.\r\n Without the generous donations from the donors at Donors Choose my students would not have had the opportunity to create a three-dimensional form.
